about
Free event featuring cultural performances, tea tastings, food, and family-friendly activities
Asianati and Visit Cincy will present the annual Cincinnati Moon Festival on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Fountain Square to celebrate the mid-autumn harvest. Across many Asian cultures, the tradition brings families and communities together to admire the year’s brightest moon.
The festival will offer an immersive celebration of Asian cultures through live performances, food, tea tastings, and family-friendly activities. The entertainment lineup will represent traditions from across Asia, including Chinese and Indian instruments and traditional dance, Japanese Taiko drumming, K-Pop dance, and Filipino Tinikling.

Guests can experience free tastings highlighting Chinese, Indian and Japanese tea cultures. Tea masters will share traditional preparation methods and specially curated teas.

“The Moon Festival gives our community an opportunity to experience the incredible diversity of Asian cultures in one welcoming space,” Qorinah Wardhani, president of Asianati, said. “Through food, music, dance and tea, we hope guests leave with a stronger connection to the traditions and people that make Greater Cincinnati such a vibrant place.”
Founded in 2018 by the Greater Cincinnati Chinese Cultural Exchange Association (GCCCEA) that merged with Asianati earlier this year, the Cincinnati Moon Festival has grown into an annual opportunity for the region to experience and engage with the rich heritage of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community.
